Living independently can be lonely. Though getting to stay in the comfort of your own home gives you freedom, it may also leave you with a feeling of isolation, loneliness, depression, and fear. A big reason most family members move their loved ones to nursing homes is to provide them with companionship.
Our caregivers can provide companionship and social interaction in the following ways:
- Be a listening ear and engage in conversation.
- Watching movies/television.
- Playing board games.
- Taking walks.
- Reading books.
